FAQ #2: My parents’ work schedules make it impossible for them to take me on college trips. What should I do?

ANSWER: There are commercial groups that take students on college tours. One of the better known is College Visits: http://www.college-visits.com/

You might ask your friends if their families are planning college tours. Perhaps you can join one of them.

Some high schools offer their own college tours, although they tend to restrict the people taking them to their own students.

Some local and national organizations such as YMCA and YWCA groups offer college tours.

Probably the best sources for information regarding college visits are high school counselors or current and previous students at your high school who have already been through the college visit process.
