International students
International students must take the same SAT tests as American students. A student can register for the SAT online or by fax. Information about this registration is contained in the SAT Program Registration Bulletin, International Edition, available from your school’s high school counselor or at a student’s local Overseas Educational Advising Center. For the center closest to you see Test Centers on the College Board site:

or write to:

Princeton, NY 08541-6200

Fortunately, the College Board has test centers in many countries throughout the world.

TOEFL
In addition to the SATs, international students are also often asked to take an English language test, the most requested of which is Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), an English proficiency testing for international students planning to study in the United States. TOEFL information is at: http://www.toefl.org
