PLAN

DEFINITION of PLAN:
Much like the PSAT, PLAN is the pre-ACT test often taken by sophomore students as a way of predicting how they will score on the ACT. The subjects covered are English, Math, Reading and Science.

THE BOTTOM LINE
American College Testing describes PLAN as a test that helps students measure their academic development, as well as explore career options. More than anything, it is a pre-ACT test that helps students to see how they might score on the ACT.

PLAN is comprised of the following tests:

English (50 items), 30 minutes
Math (40 items), 40 minutes
Reading (25 items), 20 minutes
Science (30 items), 25 minutes

SOPHOMORE YEAR TIMELINE FOR TAKING THE PLAN
Typically, students take the PLAN during the fall of their sophomore year.
